JPF and PA-I vacancy at Doon University, Dehradun

Are you a highly motivated chemistry graduate looking for research opportunities? Doon University, Dehradun, invites applications for one Junior Project Fellow (JPF) and two Project Associate-I (PA-I) positions under prestigious government-funded research projects.

Available Positions

1. Junior Project Fellow (JPF)

  • Project Title: Development of Catalytic Systems using Organochalcogen Compounds and Noble/Non-Noble Metals for Aqueous Reduction of Nitroarenes in Industrial Effluents.
  • Funding Agency: G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment (NIHE), Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change, Government of India, under the Integrated Eco-development Research Programme (IERP).
  • Monthly Emoluments: ₹23,600/- (₹20,000/- + 18% HRA).

2. Project Associate-I (PA-I)

  • Project Title: Development of Functional Nanomaterials and Their Applications in Coating Materials, Hydrogen Generation, Catalysis, and Device Fabrication.
  • Funding Agency: Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, under the Promotion of University Research and Scientific Excellence (PURSE) scheme.
  • Monthly Emoluments:
    • ₹31,000/- + HRA for candidates qualifying CSIR-UGC NET, GATE, or similar national-level examinations.
    • ₹25,000/- + HRA for candidates without these qualifications.

Duration & Principal Investigator

  • Principal Investigator: Dr. Arun Kumar, Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry, Doon University.
  • Duration: Initially for one year, extendable annually up to three years based on performance.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry from a recognized university with at least 55% marks.
  • Upper Age Limit: 35 years.
