Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • NGS Data Analysis: Processing raw sequencing data, alignments, mapping, and gene expression analysis.
  • Shell Scripting: Automating bioinformatics pipelines, data parsing, and formatting.
  • Database Development: Creating and managing a bioinformatics database for microalgae in space biomanufacturing.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

Candidates should have:

  • MSc/MTech in Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, or Computational Biology.
  • NET/GATE/UGC qualification (mandatory).
  • Candidates who have recently submitted their PhD thesis are also eligible.

Preferred Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in bioinformatics/computational biology.
  • Strong skills in NGS analysis and programming in R/Python.
  • Familiarity with shell scripting and database development.
